Complaints will be used constructively in the planning and improvement of the service that I offer.
All complaints received will be taken seriously and they will be dealt with fairly, efficiently and effectively. In doing so, I aim to deal with complaints informally and to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
If after due consideration this is not possible I will invite the complainant to submit the complaint in writing and I undertake to refer them to my Regulator the Civil Mediation Council.
A written record of all complaints will be maintained setting out how the complaint was followed up and the outcome of the complaint.
In order to develop the quality of my service, I have a system for inviting and obtaining feedback from the participants and their representatives.
I will share and discuss this feedback with an experienced Registered Mediator.
I undertake to undergo Continuing Professional Development (“CPD”).
I have contracted with the London School of Mediation to provide me with six hours of mediation-specific CPD per year.
I also seek additional observations of experienced Registered Mediators in order to improve and extend my offering.
The Civil Mediation Council requires that a Registered Mediator submit to peer review and debriefs with other mediators.
I have made arrangements for this to be provided by the London School of Mediation.
